We don't share ANY information with Motor Vehicles, or your insurance company or anyone else, so there's no need to be concerned about including your VIN in your registration.
You can find your VIN on the Insurance Identification Card issued by your insurance company.
You can find your VIN on the Vehicle Registration card issued by your Department of Motor Vehicles.
You can find your VIN on the metal plate located on your dash, near the windshield, on the driver’s side.
You can find your VIN on the label affixed to the door jamb on the driver’s side.
